Enjoy watching resident Chippy and his family scurry around the flowers and rocks in the front yard. Play some yard games. Put up the humming bird feeders and enjoy the sounds of their chatter and flying around the cabin.

Degas' Deck, relax creekside

Degas' Deck, relax creekside

Guests enjoy coffee, knitting, reading, playing checkers, eating, visiting, watching humminbirds, setting up the hammock or even panning for gold! (we have not found any treasures YET....but you could be the first!)

Overton's Creek

Overton's Creek

You can spy little (and some actually NOT so little) brook trout all year long.....you have to sneak up on them though! Overton's Creek has 3 bridges that cross over....Bunger's Bridge, Slippery Rock, and the 3rd bridge is not named.

Franci & Corky's Fireside Room

Franci & Corky's Fireside Room

Walking into the cabin, you find the living room. We store games, books, musical instruments, movies and music for you and your family to enjoy. The fireplace is an electric, has heat and adds that (safe) ambiance without the fuss.

A view looking upstream to Bunger's Bridge. These sweet little yellow flowers bloom late June - August only....and only in this little corner of the creek and property.

Icthus Trail ~ built in 2012

Icthus Trail ~ built in 2012

Every Spring we plant this section of the trail with wild flower seeds and anticipate what will grow and not grow. A gardening challenge for sure! At the top of this trail is a flagstone landing spot, perfect for a morning coffee, perhaps some yoga, or building a tent with your kids.

Owl's Nest Picnic Area

Owl's Nest Picnic Area

This little nook of a spot sits besides Overton's Creek and enjoys views of Miers' Meadow and the Ichthus Trail. Try lying on top of the picnic table for a cat nap!

The daffodils come up usually late June which is quite late in the world of gardening but right on time in the mountains. They also do not last long, as a deer or Chippy will usually eat for breakfast or dinner.
